Hello I am Sonya “Twilite” Wright. I was born in Los Angeles on July 26, but grew up in Wichita, KS. I am the proud mother of a handsome 24 yr. old law student. I decided I wanted to ride a motorcycle while standing in the DMV renewing my driver license after going through a very hard mid-life crisis in 2009, so I added that to my buck list.
Have you ever dreamed of the wind blowing in your face, fresh air all around you while riding a motorcycle? I fulfilled that dream on august 16, 2010. That is when I received my motorcycle endorsement to ride.
I purchased my first bike in 2012, a Yamaha v-star 950 and named him Rambo. I was nervous about riding so Rambo did not have much riding miles, so I sold Rambo because I remember everyone saying “Ain’t nothing like riding a Harley” so I bought a 2007 Harley Davidson Street Bob.
I wasn’t feeling the denim blue color and I wanted to do something for my co-workers and some of my closet friends as well as family members that was experiencing breast cancer. I painted my bike pink to support them and I named her Pinky. I rode it almost once a week to work until I lost Pinky on June 16 2017 in Texas due to an accident.
I was not seeing myself on another motorcycle until July 28, 2017 when I bought my 2016 Street Glide Special and her name is Passion. The bond between us is unbelievable (lol). I have been on it every day since I purchased it. (minus a month when she was down for a malfunctioned part) I love riding and glad I listened to that little voice in my head that said “it’s your passion get back on “and that is where she got her name from. So on my new bucket list is to ride Passion cross country. More miles to come.
“A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, and a golden thread to the meaning of life” I am my sisters keeper!
